The Kitchen Remodel Begins…
I’m changing things up a little today. It’s me… in the flesh! Or as close as you can come on a blog.

Okay, so here’s the abbreviated, picture version of the video tour minus commentary…
Kitchen before:
Ready for demolition and renovation:
You guys know I’ll be taking pictures every step of the way, right? That’s how I roll.
Day 1 progress:
Look what was hiding under the current floor. Gross!

Looking forward to seeing more!
Sarah, we loved your kitchen tour and are looking forward to the updates! I
Yeah for Video Blogging! Great to see you Sarah and wonderful to see your “labor” before the labor. When is the hoped for “due date” of the kitchen remodeling? I think it’s a cool idea and I can’t wait to see the final product!
It all depends on when the cabinets arrive. The original “due date” as you put it was June 30th, but now we’re looking at July 7th or 8th.
Hahaha. No one has ever called me trained in communication before.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever, like, heard you talk, but it didn’t feel unusual at all. Your voice fits you very well.
This video was awesome. Do another one when it’s done!
Thanks. I sound sort of unnatural in the intro bit — almost Obama like with my weird pauses — but I started to relax in the tour part. I’d say it’s overall a pretty good representation of what I sound like.
Weren’t you a communications major of some sort? I can’t remember exactly. You’ve done theatre! That’s sort of training in communication…
Btw, the worst part about your old kitchen? The office-style lighting. What the crap.
I know, right? I have hated that ceiling for five years. Lighting makes such a huge difference in the feel of a room. Our bathroom ceiling has the same dropped office-style lighting, and I want to get rid of that one too!
Very good blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring wri81rs?I&#t2e7;m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or gofor a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Thanks a lot!
Kudos to you, Sarah, for putting up with only one above-the counter electric outlet for all this time! What a persevering gal you are! Loved the video — so good to see and hear you! I look forward to all your updates (both still pictures AND videos)! I’m so glad the Lord is blessing you with this kitchen remodel!
