Sunday Quotations: May 1, 2011
I’m starting a new feature on the blog this week. I recently came across some quotes I’ve collected or friends have sent me over the years. Many will have to do with books and reading, but not all. A blogging friend, Sarah, used to post favorite book quotes on Sundays and I always thought it was nice timing so I’m stealing imitating her idea.
“It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want – oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”
— Mark TwainWhile you dream and long for it, spring comes without a warning, and you are caught between rains, running helter-skelter, doing the best you can.”
— Ellen Bromfield Geld

Sarah,
I had not heard either of these quotes before, but I like the one by Mark Twain the most. That describes spring for me — especially when I was younger.
Great idea to post quotes like this!
