This is so pastoral and pleasant in theory, but…. there’s hair on the couch! *runs*
Oh there is fur in every nook and cranny of our house! Hence the need for a Dyson pet vacuum. I vacuum the chair and couch in the living room frequently, and always right before we have people come over. Fortunately, the fabric is sort of like microfiber (except it’s something else) so the fur comes off super easy. But obviously, it doesn’t bother me too much!
Oh, and she’s not actually allowed to stay up there like that. It’s cute, but it ruins the cushion. Unfortunately, she really likes the spot.
oooh How Adorable!
And Sarah – I looked at your “best of film” list – you’re on a roll!!! My husband and I are picking our way through the “Top 100” (we combined the 1997 & 2007 versions, so it’s actually like top 123-ish) and we just watched “The Hunter,” “A Streetcar Named Desire,” and “Easy Rider” last weekend. And can I say that I had no idea Marlon Brando was such a hunk?!! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out all my life.
But anyway – we’ve got about a dozen movies crossed off jointly; there are some he’s seen and I haven’t and vice versa. Your list is inspiring!!
How fun that you’re going through the list as well! If I were counting movies that both my husband and I have seen, my progress would be significantly less. We’re watching them together now, but I grew up on movies from the golden age of Hollywood so I had a head start on him. Sunday night is movie night at our house. Our most recent ones crossed off the list are “12 Angry Men,” “E.T.,” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”
If you only know Marlon Brando from “The Godfather,” you’re in for a bit of a shock! Young Brando + James Dean = a good time for movies.
How wonderful that you grew up with a well-rounded education! Believe it or not, I haven’t actually seen E.T. yet – my husband was appalled when he found out…
I can’t wait for more Brando!!! 😀
WOW! It looks like you bought that chair just for them. lol
I know, right? They think they own that chair!
Those are some big babies. lol. Thanks for stopping by!
Did you like “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”? It was not my favorite. There was great acting but it was just a little depressing for me. Was curious what you thought.
I did like it. It seemed like a movie for its time period. Had I seen it when it came out (or been alive then, haha!), it would have been more depressing. Power plays like that still occur, I’m sure, but at least we know better than the final outcome and treatment. It was sad, for sure, but its portrayal of the human condition was more interesting to me than sad and depressing. It was a great character study. I love feel-good movies, but I also love depressing movies (and books) that expose raw human emotion.
They are the real bosses in your home, right? :o)
