Snow Dogs (or Why Two Dogs Are Better Than One)

A few friends (who haven’t seen Keiko and Mochi in real life) have commented that our dogs always look so calm and peaceful. Let me tell you, that is a facade. It’s just that they are much easier to photograph when they are still. Trust me, I’ve taken lots of blurry doggie photos.

Last Thursday we got 4-5 inches of snow here at our house, and the dogs sure do love to play in it. I shot this little video as the snow was still falling in the afternoon:

I love watching dogs play together. It’s some of the finest entertainment!

Like the music, with the little exclamation point bark at the end.

ooooh noooo hahahhaa just one dog for me! I love that dakota is attached to my hip and always giving me attention, i couldn’t have two, he’d be playing with the other dog all the time and not me! I do think about it sometimes, but dakota is enough entertainment and attention/affection for 5 dogs, lol i couldn’t imagine two! Your dogs look fun playing though, they must love the snow!

My favorite part is how dogs have those brief pauses where they look around as if nothing is going on. Dang, this is almost exactly how my two dogs would play. One waiting while the other runs around. Half-biting on the neck. Nostalgia!
